If you think its just a case of the enclosed trailer being the problem, maybe try like the super serious towers do, and stick an air-foil on top of ur dodge. Kind of like the semis, so it pushes the air up over the top of your trailer. Just a thought. :P

I would think though with all your mods, you'd have plenty of power for towing. I agree that 4.10's would be enough too, if you aren't going to get bigger tires. 4.56's are gonna kill ur mpg on the highway. Might help on lower speeds, but your rpms will be higher than normal on the highway with 4.56's. You having take off problems or like passing power problems?

Part of the problem is no shroud, part of it is your CFMs. 2300 or 2600 is really not enough through the rad to keep things cool ("air around the engine" has almost nothing to do with anything, its air through the radiator that cools the fluid that then keeps the engine cooler). The 3300 CFM Flex-a-Lite is what is recommended for our V8s (or equivalent), much less won't really cut it.

35's have crossed my mind but then I need a bigger lift and wont be able to fit under much parking ramps so I pretty much ditched that thought. The trailer has a air cone on the front witch helps I think. When towing its more of a problem to stay at 60 and passing forget it aint ganna happen on a down hill lol. On the flat my truck has no problem towing with OD on, I know I shouldnt be it just takes a while to get up to 60 after that she holds pretty good. Ill have to check into the 3300 cfm at the time is was the most powerfull fans that they had and was recommended for the v8 ram but if I could fit 2 under there for some stupid reason might give it a shot.

I sometimes find a 6500# boat tailgating me.. It often keeps me up at night .. So I prepare..

One of the first problems I encountered wasn't running down the highway as much as backing and maneuvering that thing. The temp gauge would climb much faster than the clutch fan could cool.. not good.. so I opted for an e-fan set-up, and kept my clutch fan in the truck box until the efan proved itself...

it did..

I run twin 16" 2750cfm fans on mine.. they are offset, and overlap slightly in the center of the radiator. One pushes, one pulls. (the pusher's output drops to about 2500cfm mathematically).. Not one time has heat been an issue in ANY condition..

I tossed the clutch fan.. My neighbor said he last saw Hoffa running away with it.. I don't care because I'm never going back to a mechanical fan..

towing and e-fans are the only way to go.. you get a NICE little LOW end bump in torque, which is right where you need it.. and- if properly selected for flow- temperature will never be an issue for you when you're trying to outrun that trailer of yours.. and your sleep will improve as the nightmares will subside.. just sayin'..

I have about $150 in mine.. I don't need the shroud, but I have it anyway.. It's all about flow.. I could likely have less than $100 in it, but I'm **** and don't like nightmares- so I soldered, wrapped, and harnessed through relays and fuses to make sure the rig would last..

good luck dude!!!

btw: curiously, the efan rig is third on my list of mods, and by far the cheapest.. Top three: gears (4.56:1), SCT (eliminated torque management), efan.. huh. that should tell ya somethin'!!!
