The notorious cracked dash has finally struck me!!!

Well I'm leaning in the way of a suede dash cover, from either Dash Topper or Dash Designs.. I'm looking to see some pics of what others have.. And what is your opinion of these companys products if you have them on your truck..

Why get a topper? Just get an aftermarket complete dash from Geno's Garage.

I replaced my dash with one from the dealer, and even though it is upgraded and not supposed to crack, I went ahead and got a Suede Cover for it anyway. The new upgraded dash from Dodge is really shiny and had a bad glare, the cover also helps with the audio acoustics. In this pic it looks kind of charcoal gray but it is actually black.

It is the Dash Designs Black Sedona Suede dash cover. Got it from AutoAnything for $56 shipped. I've never been a fan of the carpeted dash mats, or any dash mats for that matter, but this suede one looks pretty good in my book, and it does the job!

I went with a plastic cover/overlay, you can't even tell it's there. Been 3 years, parked in the sun everyday, looks brand new.

I hate carpet dash covers with a passion.

I got my plastic dash overlay off ebay for ~$100ish. Looks like the original dash.
Factory dash was ruined by UV rays, more brittle than egg shells.

I just got the replacement top from LMC trucks for $200 and it looks good and was easy to install. My orginial dash was to cracked up to get a top to put on it.

I installed the dash cover and bezel cover (if your bezel cover hasn't cracked look out for that next) and it looks ok.

I could have put a little more work into the shaping but if someone didn't know it was a cover they wouldn't know it. These pictures mostly show the bezel, but you get the idea. The dash cover is on there as well. Still looks new. If I had to do it again though, I would spend the extra money for the complete replacement. I'm going to do that when my heater core goes out.

After all the sweat and fitting and refitting, it's worth the extra money to just replace the whole dash.
