285 tire rub?
Wish I could afford 35's. Then I'd need a place to get some use out of them. I'll just stick with road tires for now.
what did you have to cut out/change to make them work?

Learn something new everyday. I didn't know that there was a factory off road lift. Looks good.
Yep, 00 and 01 had the "OFF-Road" option. Came with a 2" lift and those 17" rims, among other things.
If it helps any, I have some worn 285/70-17s on those rims and I'm not close to rubbing anything, but I do have an OFF-Road.

Good luck on finding a place to use them. The best place I know of is Uwharrie but that's an hour away.
I've heard that the pipeline halfway down the gravel road going to Buckhorn dam is a good spot but there's a couple holes out there that will swallow a full size truck so if you were to go out there you would have to really pay attention to the route you take.
35" tires on a stock 4x4 would rub the plastic on the back of the front fenders for sure.

Your truck sits 1.5" (plus the 2" or 2.5" for the leveling kit) higher than a stock 4x4.
