the worst part comes after you are done with the job... CLEAN UP UR GARAGE~~
Lol, my first I did in the grass in the back yard because I figured I was going to get a bath. Wouldn't you know it I spilt very little. Just did one early last week on my grandpa's colorado... thought I was hot **** and did it in the driveway. I caught most of it with the cardboard... but damn that one was messy.

As far as the sealer goes, they didn't come with sealer stock as I recall. I paid extra for the premium filter at napa which came with the same OE style gasket instead of the cork ones. As far as I am concerned, zac brown had it wrong in "chicken fried" that there is no dollar sign on a piece of mind. I'll always pay extra to not have a cork gasket lol. I don't want that sucker to leak.

It is up to you how you want to do it. To the OP, if you are not comfortable with doing it, most transmissions shops do offer to drop the pan and replace the filter. You learn by doing, and that is how I learned. HeyYou has it correct though that it is very similar to a oil change... just with more bolts (and two torx screws lol).
