oil on spark plug threads.

Default oil on spark plug threads.

so i changed my plugs the other day and noticed a lot of oil on one spark plug.oil was on threads but i cant see where its coming from.does not appear to be leaking at valve cover gasket.where the heck would it leak from?truck is a '96 1500 ram with a 5.2 litre.

Check the valve cover bolts anyway. They tend to work themselves loose.

On the outside of the plug, or on the firing tip?

just had another look and the oil is in the plug tube.no oil on tip just at the washer on spark plug.

Valve cover gasket or loose valve cover bolts.
