my son has a 2000 4 door dakota 4.7(or 4.9 something like it) auto 4x4, drove to the farm to help with hay and drove fine as usuall, 10 hours later went to go home and i wouldnt start, not even a click,tried jumping,nothing,changed battery, nothing, the door buzzer comes on and dash lights and head lights get juice, but when you turn the key to start there is nothing, any help ?

 

Not sure if the dakota is the same... but, check under the hood, and see if there isn't a starter relay hiding in the PDC. If there is, swap it with another relay, and see if that doesn't change anything.
