Default Whine sound from tranny in drive now...

Ive had the reverse whine when cold for a while, not really worried about it..But recently ive developed a whine while driving forward...

Its not very loud, cant even hear it with the windows down or the music on low.

I think it has something to do with the OD because if i turn the OD off using the switch its not nearly as loud..

is this nothing to worry about like the reverse whine? Or should I be concerned?

No other tranny issues, it shifts smooth and when its supposed to, Rides really good.

Im changing my tranny fluid, filter and gasket this weekend, hopefully that fixes it..Not gonna flush it though, decided that might do more harm than good.

Mine whines a bit in first gear. But, that's just gear whine from the amount of reduction. It's always done it, and works just fine. (knock on wood....)

Diffs whining isn't a good thing. Gear noise indicates something is going wrong.... and if left too long, becomes expensive to fix. Find where the noise is coming from.
