Default JEGS y-pipes

Hey. I've never replaced my cat after I did the plenum repair and was thinking about getting a magnaflow high flow to replace it, but I found this on jegs website. I've heard of people taking off their cat and getting about a 1 mpg increase in fuel mileage. This kit is about the same as buying a magnaflow. I was wondering if anyone here was running this or a similar setup?

Either way ya go you should see some performance improvement. The stock Y-pipe is rather restrictive... so, anything at all will be better. If your cat is already partially clogged, you will see even more improvement. The jegs piece is pretty good, but, if you have emissions testing in your area, go with the magnaflow.

I don't have emissions in my area. I would hate to put the jegs kit on because it is against the law and if I would go to sell the truck in the future it could be an issue.

You could buy the jegs pipe and later cut the center section out and have a universal cat welded in.
