The new spring, once I installed it on the transmission, fully retracts the throttle cable. The truck shifts like new now.

Autozone has a whole row of those springs; I got the generic one where you have to bend the ends to suit your application.

Works great!

Oh yea I also changed the fluid and filter, I am sure that helped too.
