my bumper is crooked

Question my bumper is crooked

I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 and the owner b4 me got into a wreck but i replaced the bumper but now its really crooked is there any trick of getting it back straight please help

Bumper bolts and / or frame is probably bent.

With some muscle you can probably straighten out the bolts, if you could post a pic of your bumper it would help diagnose.

It is (sorta) easily adjusted. Just need a couple jacks, and some hand tools. If you already changed the bumper, you have all the right hand tools. If you don't have jacks, a couple burly friends would work just as well.

18mm socket size on the bolts/nuts. each has a lot of adjustment play. loosen them all up and position the bumper where you want it. 2 jacks are helpful, or an assistant or two. then snug them down and then torque them.

your bumper mounts and/or braces and/or frame might be bent. look for bumper braces at the junkyard if you need them.

i have one little jack and i have a couple of big friends so i think that will work now all i need is to fix the bumper pads they are trashed

would it be a good idea to replace all the bumper brackets i replaced just the front arms that hold the bumper on not the side ones but i dont think they r bent and also would white and flat black be a good color combonation

I looked and maybe I'm retarded, but couldn't exactly figure out which bolts to loosen. Any pics guys?

^sorry, no pics, but loosen all of them. about 12 of them.
start with both ends of the outside angled braces.
then the center supports that connect to the frame runners.

spray it all down with pb-blaster and let it soak.
use an impact if you've got one. long pull bar if you don't.
