Sounds like a solid buy to me then, that means the plenum is in good shape.

If the owner does not know if its been previously replaced or not, check it every oil change, if you start to get oil pooled in there its time for a new gasket.

Keeping in mind that A new Gasket is not a permanent fix. You can still blow it again another 50-100k down the road. Hughes makes a kit though that comes with a new Plenum pan that permanently fixes the issue. When yours does go, make sure you go that route.

The reason the gasket pops is the plate and intake are made of 2 different metals that expand and contract at different rates. The Hugues plenum pan eliminates this.

Also, while you have "The keg" (intake) as we like to call it off, change out your intake gaskets and water pump too.
