Default Replacing my cat.

Im gathering supplies for my plenum fix as we speak, and as soon as I get time off of work in the next week or two I will fix it. In the mean time I have noticed an exhaust leak, and sluggish performance when I start getting into the throttle at highway speeds, or to pass..a problem I never had before..I know with the blown plenum and these symptoms a clogged cat could be my problem. I plan on pulling to O2 sensor tomorrow and taking her for a spin to determine this. I plan on replacing it with a high flow anyways, but I was wondering if this is a job that I can do? I dont have a welder, and I dont have access to one, can I clamp on a cat? Thanks for the help!

I know Magnaflow makes a direct fit cat that just bolts right into place with no welding

Yes we do have the check, I just got inspected, so if I had to I could gut my cat temporarilly and pray I don't get pulled over. The high flows are pretty cheap tho.

Anyone know how hard it is to replace the factory y-pipe too? I would like to do both at the same time if I could. I also am assuming the factory cat has to be cut out?
