RE: question for experianced lower-er-ers
ya...I am a lifted truck man..I love lifting trucks, and normally hate lowered ones...but Mine's only 2 wheel drive, and theres no point in me lifting it and spending a whole ton of money. I'm looking to make it like a low, mean muscle truck, if you know what I mean. Not goin for ganster hydraulics u know? thanks anyway guys.

Then check out the lowering kits at summit racing.com
Although a few people here have 2wd and spent a couple hundred bucks and lifted them.
They got some added height and more ground clearance. Looked pretty good.
My rule of thumb is mod your truck out for what your needs are. I lifted a 2wd ranger with a 3 inch bodylift and I got the clearance to drive off road on the trails when I fished or hunted.
With the small lift I was able to run 31's and clear the ruts and crap on the unpaved roads. I was amazed at how far a 2wd truck can go with the right lift and tire tread.
Goodluck

RE: question for experianced lower-er-ers
ya, but the kinda off roading I'm into...you NEED 4 wheel drive....swamps, deep mud, all that stuff, playing in the snow, I don't wanna be stuck out there in the mud with 2 wheel drive..I might be wrong..but I've never really heard of a 2 wheel drive truck bein able to get through all that kinda stuff like a 4 wheel...I don't have a lot of money to spend either..I don't really wanna spend more than 1,00 or 1500, whice won't get me a whole lot. I want like 33's or 35's.

RE: question for experianced lower-er-ers
do not take out leaf springs or cut your front springs....had a friend do that and it is the sorriest ride ever....it is way to bumpy, plus to get your back end down 4 inches you would have to take them all out but one which is really stupid, and cutting your springs in the front will just create problems with your alignment and ride quality
