Question Ram won't coast

Help!! My Truck won't coast when I let off the gas pedal. Totally kills the gas millage. I have read all sorts of posibilities. Brakes hanging up(I checked it's not the brakes) bands too tight or too loose, torque converter, the whole tranny. Anybody got any real ideas?
