Default Front end help

Had a loud clunking sound on the front driver's side. Replaced the hub and u-joint last week. No more clunking sound, but now I get a occassional popping sound from the same area. Someone point me in the right direction PLEASE.

I may be wrong about this, but check the end of your track bar on your drivers side, my buddy had the same issue after we lifted his and I can't remember if it was the track bar or the drop bracket for the track bar, either way jack your truck up and pry away at everything seeing if you can find anything loose.

Does not really pop when you hit a bumb, it is a little intermittent but seems to happen more when turning. Steering is a little loose now also. The hub that I replaced was in really bad shape, but when we had it off, the ball joints seemed OK. Even had a buddy that works on cars look at them too. I will put it up in the air and give them both a check again...thanks

They might just be dry. If they have grease fittings, give 'em some.

Grease your zerts(spelling?) and the poping should go away. Sometimes there is a zert on the track bar as well.

Check your tierod ends, tracbar ends, balljoints, brake calipers sliders; used with the bolts the caliper must move freely.

Default track bar

My track bar is trash... lots of movement.

Any suggestions, I am thinking of replacing with Moog.

I have the moog one and its pretty good. Has a greasble joint and whatnot but if you can afford to get a adjustable track bar then that will be the best replacement.
