alright I'm goingto check it in the morning.

What about the over filled oil?

Should I check all the fuses or just the one with the clip? should I pull each one and look for a blown fuse?

Don't worry about the oil if your getting it changed anyway tomorrow. I would check all the fuses while your in there. You should use a meter and check ohms instead of just eye balling them.

well I'm figuring I should get the oil changed and have them check out the truck to see whats up and if i need to fix anything. Might hold off on the inspection a little till I see what they say tomorrow. At the same time I mite be lazy tomorrow morning and not feel like getting up early before work and put it off for a few days thats why I was wondering if i should get it changed immeditely or just do it my self and then go get it inspected soon. I bought my truck in NJ and I have to get it MD state inspected soon

Just to be safe... I would take a look at the oil in the engine now to make sure there isn't any fuel or coolant mixed in there. That could also explain why there is too much oil in the crankcase.

If the oil has a white frothy color, it is contaminated with coolant/water. Now smell the used oil. If it smells like gasoline, you've got gasoline mixing with your oil somehow. If both of these check out okay, then you should be alright.

Oh yeah its just oil. It was dark a little dirty but still a dark brown. I think some dumb *** just dumped a **** ton in when changing the oil. By the way how many quarts does the truck take 5 or 6?

ended up going to jiffy lube and they changed the oil and said the transmission fluid was brown and burnt so i had them flush the trans. Hopefully the transmission didnt have any damage done to it. I hope the fluid was chaged before as it has 139k on it

Now if I could just get these damn interior lights to work and radio I would be happy. Well also figure out how to charge the ac and where the hell the little port is on it to hook up those self charge kits

Flushing your trans was a bad plan. That tends to kill them in short order, if they haven't been VERY well maintained.

Port for the A/C should be right up beside the radiator, on the passenger side. (that's where it is on mine..... don't know if they moved it later...)

on the 2001 the low port(fill port) is on the line at the accumulator, right next to the pcm on the passenger side.
