Default Is there a fuel filter on a 2nd gen 5.2l truck?

Im just wondering if there is an internal fuel filter on these trucks, i just looked at the fuel system and cant find one.

I dont know if im blind, or if there internal.

The filter is part of the pump assembly in the tank.

Yes, but it's part of the fuel pump. It's actually built into the pressure regulator that sits on top of the fuel pump. Not easily replaced.

What problem are you having? plenty of knowledgeable members here to help.

I'm not having any problems, i just recently got the truck and i when i get something new i like to replace all fluids/filters. I did the engine oil and filter, and i visually checked the tranny, transfer case and rear oil and they all were fine, and i was going to do the fuel filter but just couldn't find it.

Yea but that useless thing does nothing unless some one pours 3/4" gravel in your tank.
