Default New cooler with transmission?

I am pulling the transmission out for a rebuild this weekend (00 1500 4x4 5.2 46re). I am wondering if flushing the cooler would be enough, or if I should replace it, before putting the tranny back in. I am planning on flushing it with mineral spirits with the tranny out.

Flushing it is fine. But you might consider adding an aftermarket cooler inline also. Check valve delete is a good idea too. Do a search here for tons of info on that.

Because one of the coolers is in the radiator, and replacing that one entails replacing the radiator. (its actually cheaper to replace the whole thing, than just the one part..... fancy that....)

Flush the cooler(s) in both directions, keep doing it until your solvent is coming out pristine, in both directions.
