Default brake cable squeeks

When I hit my brakes, even when the trucks off sitting in my driveway the cables or linkage or whatever squeak.

Is there a way to Lube this with some WD-40 or something? Its a minor annoyance....I cant seem to locate the linkage under the vehicle.

There is no linkage, aside from whats under the dash. The rest is all hydraulic. Try adjusting your rear brakes though.

I could be wrong, but are we talking about the E brake? If so, the noise is just springs or lever or the shoes rubbing the backplate inside the drums.
