Default trim questions

Hey i have a dodge ram 1500 with 189,000 miles on it, working great but wanted to make it into a sexy beast. But wondering if at that mileage its worth putting new grille guard, tool box, nerf bars, and side skirts. Also I’m looking for all black to contrast with the red, but I cannot find a place that sells black side skirts and other black items (hate chrome). First truck so want to make beautiful but wondering if worth it (can't afford anything nicer)

I have ran into the same problem as you. I have a Red dodge and too many people are running around with Chrome accents. I love chrome, but I'd rather not get lost in the sea of Red/Chrome Dodges.
My toolbox, bed rails and tailgate cap are all Aluminum and to replace all that with black diamond plate would had cost me too much. I chose to go the Rhino Line Route. For all of that to be done is $150.
I have looked for black side skirts, nada. $275 to Rhino line my rocker panels and fenders. Way cheaper!
This isn't my first dodge, but doing the research and what I have invested maintenance and mechanical wise into this truck, it doesn't make sense to invest in a newer truck, get into more payments and possibly a mechanical nightmare.
If its worth it, that is your judgement call.
Good luck

I would focus on the performance of the vehicle especially with 189,000 miles. Check the plenum and look for play in the front suspension especial the (track bar). Paint over any rust and check all fluids. However if you need a tool box then you need a tool box but do really need all the other stuff?

Spending money on a vehicle beyond what is necessary to get from point A to point B reliably is never "worth it". However, I don't spend money to golf, fish, drink or any other of a multitude of possible pursuits. I have always loved working on cars. So my "play" money goes towards that. I shop wisely and consider what my overall desire for looks, comfort and performance is on my vehicles and then spend accordingly. You'll know when you are over-reaching when the alarm bells go off as you're reaching for your wallet. It's your first truck and you can't afford anything nicer, so do what is affordable to personalize it and make it pleasurable to drive. Enjoy and be content!

ive been trying to set my truck out against all the white work trucks down here in texas.

i think ive spent a whole $100 on the white spray paint, cans of bed liner, and media blasting gun (to spray the bed liner)

ive even sprayed my friends 98 tracker! (look at my sig pic)
