Well this is the first Dodge I have owned an ever had any issuses with an I really don't know where to start!!! I dont know if I spun a main bearing or if the timing chains got wore out or what but i have crunk it to move in an it was hard to start an also had to hold the accelerator pedal to the floor for it to start

pull the valve cover and inspect the upper valve train carefully, look for a spring broken near the seat.

It very well could be rod knock, but when I put new lifters in, the loose valve train was that loud until they inflated. It's possible you have skip due to some other valve issue.

I agree that she should be parked until the problem is found.
