Default ABS and brake light on?

I was driving home from the junk yard and about half way home my brake and ABS light turned on. when I got home I checked everything over and everything seemed fine I did notice that my E brake was half engaged and that the release cable isnt working anymore. I got the E brakes disengaged by hand so that would explain the brake light right? but what about the ABS light I remember reading about it some time ago but couldn't find anything about it again. Any help or advice would be great.

I had a wire that went to the rear diff that looked iffy it followed the parking brake wire witch may solve that problem ill have to look into it better I pretty much tried everything in the search area but Ill have to keep looking a little deeper.

I've been chasing this problem for a couple months now. My cause was a code 68 I think? "Pump motor stalled" That meant replacing the anti-lock brake controller.

Anyways in my quest to fix it, I learned from this forum that you can measure resistance of the sensors before going ahead and replacing them. The front ones measured 1000 something ohms where my new rear sensor measured 1800 something ohms.

Lots of info here on those damn lights!

Make sure he brake line running by the gas tank doesn't have a pin hole. Can be hard to detect a lot of times.
