Default 4x4 issues

hey guys a new 4x4 issue has shown up. my 4x4 works fine in high, 4x4 light stays on(vacuum related) but i cannot get it in 4x4 low. tried with engine on and rolling, engine on at a stand still, and engine off, all 3 times it was in neutral. also tried it with engine off in park. would not go into at all. could this be a snap ring issue, or something different?

with engine off...
observe the linkage from underneath while an assistant pushes on the shift handle. see if you can bump it a little more in the right direction.

I'd would check the snap ring for sure.

Btw, are you still driving around with no TC lock up or overdrive?

That's too bad, meanwhile you are wasting a lot of gas money. Just saying thats all. I know the rough times man. let me know when you can fix it, I know exactly what you need to do.
