I've tried replacing the wires in the connector but I can't get the wires out. The videos make it look easy but that's not my reality.
Thank you in advance for any help
You have two options. Get everything from a junkyard or buy a terminal removal tool, buy the terminals for the connector and right colored wire and replace the burnt wires. This option is only good if you the connector isn't damaged

That's what I thought, have you had any luck removing the wires from the plug?

With the right tool, its easy. Without it, it's a major pain. If there are trucks in the junkyards around you, I would be real tempted to find one with a good harness, and take the whole thing. 94 or 95 trucks should work.

Yeah that's exactly how I do it. I have a 80 piece terminal set but usually use a really small flat head screwdriver (usually to last to go get the kit ). The pins I get through a website (can link it if you want) and are like $0.03 per pin but have to order at least 20

Delcity.com you have to know what kinds of pins the connector takes

Thanks everyone for all the help. I kept messing around with the tiny eyeglass screwdrivers and got the pins out.
I do have another question, about the alternator. It appears the former owner changed the alternator from a dual field to a single field.
I think he thought the voltage regulator wasn't working??? So he installed what looks like a regulator on the fire wall and wired it to the Alt.
I plan on replacing it with stock but all the wires have been cut and rerouted. Does anyone know where the field wires go ?

Thank you

Field wires should go to the computer. The voltage regulator is built into the computer so if it's bad you either replace the whole computer or put an external voltage regulator on it.
