Default 110 Deg outside and my AC won't work! Help!

My ac compressor kicks on for like 2 secs at a time and then won't run for bout 30 secs. Then runs for 2 secs and cuts out for 30 secs. This goes on and on and doesn't cool the truck off at all. I had an appt to take it to the local dealer and before I took it, it started working as it should for bout 2 weeks. So I didn't take it to the shop. Now it's back to it's same old tricks! I checked the fuse, swapped relays, no dice. Any ideas???

low refrigerant levels will cause heavy cycling. get some gauges and jumper the compressor near the accumulator and check the level. fill as needed.

Roll down your windows and used 2/75** A/C.

** 2/75 <- 2 windows at 75 miles per hour

If it's a quad cab he can have 4-75.

I have the sliding rear window, makes me 3-75

Too bad they don't make wing vents (quarter glass) anymore, those actually worked.

So did the vent in front of the windshield that raised up and shot air down to the floor.

you just dated yourself bro...

If I roll down the back windows and leave the front closed, with the slider closed, my truck almost takes flight.. this is a good thing on long boring drives when you need a little excitement, but not so much when it happens unexpectedly..

The drawback to the sliding rear window is the vortex created in the bed. Sometimes, any debris in the bed will get caught up and whipped into the cab of the truck. I never use the sliding rear window and would like to replace it with a solid unit. When I priced the solid rear glass I about car-rapped my draws. Hella 'spensive
