I'd say a compression test is first on the list.

My cousin is having this problem with his Chevy. He took it in under warranty but they said there was nothing wrong with it.

lol I'm still having the same problem. Never found out why it's burning oil. Plugs still look good. Compression is the same as stated before. It smokes when it sits and idles. There's not a lot of smoke upon initial startup which is what my other cars did when it was the valve seals. I'll probably replace those when I get around to it. Anybody have any idea why the PCV valve would be stuck in the valve cover? It still won't come out. It's a Mopar pcv that's only a few months old.

The rubber grommet get's hard and brittle. Are you sure you are trying to replace the PCV and not just the breather elbow?

Yes just the pcv. I put a purolater pcv in it after I bought it then after reading on here got a mopar pcv. Went right in fine. Took it out once more when I replaced the hose going to it. When I did the plenum it wouldn't come out. Still wont.

Some times it's easier to remove the whole grommet with the PCV still in it.

I'd say check your plenum gasket just in case?
