so ill be needing new tires soon, and with that im going to a 2500 swap rear end. leafs and front springs...its not possible to buy a rear end with disc brakes instead of the drums is it and to have it work with minor other modifications?

I seem to recall a very few late model Rams had disc rears, but I have never seen one in person to know for certain. The 2500 3/4 ton leafs and springs will ride like crap, but the D60 able would be a nice upgrade, and open up your gearing options should you decide to go massive tires.

I've said this in other posts, the D60 is a terrific upgrade, but it is physically larger in size, the pinion is longer and the yoke is positioned closer to your transfer case (farther away from the axle centerline) which shortens the center to center running length your driveshaft needs to be, so unless you are lifting your truck it will push your slip yoke in maybe just a little too far, which in turn means you will need to shorten your driveshaft.........ALSO the leafspring pads are about an inch and a bit higher then on the 9.25 so you will achive a slight lift just swapping in the D60......in my opinion this is a good bonus to an already great upgrade (not to mention the much larger brakes)

IMO opinion the 60 rear isn't too much better than the 9.25 aside from no c clips.
