the truck should not have a ballast resister. the last year you should have found a ballast resister in a dodge truck was 1987.

Still at a loss on what the problem is. Does anyone know if there is something that would cause me to only get injector pulse to like only one injector and not the rest?

Timing. (on your part, not ignition timing.)

Injectors draw power from a common source, the ASD relay. If one injector has power, then, they ALL should. At least, that's the theory. If the PCM doesn't seen the engine turning for more than three seconds, it will trip the ASD relay, and so you get no power reading at injectors, or the ignition coil. If you have a friend to help, have them turn the key on, while you check for power at the injectors. When you hear the relay click, have your helper crank the engine a bit, or, turn the ignition off, and then back on again.

So i pulled my fan and shroud off. Grabbed a 1/2 breaker bar and said he why not check the timing. Brought it up to tdc on the compression stroke. Rotor was pointing at #6 on the cap. I was like wtf, turned it round to #1, hopped up in the truck and cranked it. Fired right up easily and ran good and strong. Ran for about 5 mins. I sat there just watching it and listening for anything bad since I never heard it run before. And then it stalls. Wont start back up again unless I give it wide open throttle and alot of cranking(probably more than I should be doing) And when it does fire up that way it only goes up to bout 2k with it being wide open throttle and running bad. I pulled the map sensor to see if that would cause it to go bad. Got nothing. Checked my codes, got 12,37,44. Number 44 makes sense cuz I kept switching the pcms to see If it would change anything. So no im at a loss again. So fuel pressure regulator/filter maybe? Or the pump? Didnt re-check my pressure since my gauge was at my buddies. My friend said egr possibly but I cant find it newhere. Book said behind the intake but I didnt find crap. So ne ideas on the problem now?

Put the distributor back where it was.(it was right) And replace the damn crank sensor for christ sake! LOL Might not be the problem, but at this point, you need to eliminate it as a prob.

I probably will next before I blow massive money on that other stuff. I think the way the guy had it set up was right for the way he did it since he had the wires *** backwards on the cap, number 6 was number one and so on and so forth. Motors been changed so nethings possible. Wheres the damn smiley with all its money falling outta its pockets

LOLOL. We had another member that had his timing set that way, and he discovered that when he set it up right, the truck ran better. (imagine that, considering your injectors are firing 180 out of phase......)

It might be the problem..... it might not.

Well when i changed the wires at the beginning of all this i was like, what the heck when the number 6 wire was on the number one terminal on the cap. I figured the guy had it wrong in the first place. Well either way my issue still isnt resolved, went 180 degrees and it ran....for 5 mins, now it wont run. Ima replace that crank pos sensor tomorrow and if that aint it idk then, I kno the tps is good, map is good, iac is good now, coolant temp sensor is good. I dont got ne codes coming up on my scanner for it but i guess you never know.
