Well, after some further inspection it is leaking from the pinon. Does this mean I would have to replace the seal by the pinon? Is that a hard job?

Well, actually, i'd prefer to have it replaced. Should I just call any Dodge dealer and ask them how much it would be? I'm currently out of town, does anyone know about how much I should expect to pay to get this fixed?

A good independent shop that has a clue would be less expensive.... the seal is less than ten bucks, labor is what kills you. Ask around, and see whom the locals suggest.
