Question best headers ????

hey guys.
i have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 sport
5.2L v8

i want a set of good performance headers.
i know i want to get the ceramic coating because that seems to be the best.
also i would like to be able to install them without modifying anything else.
i am willing to spend more for a good performance set that will last.
but i dont want to spend an insane amount though.

i had my heart set on borla but they dont seem available for my truck.

also is pacesetter shorty any good ?

please help. thank you

for shorties, look at JBA or gibson.

Pacesetter is the only company that makes longtubes that aren't custom, but there will need to be modifications to your exhaust to make them work.

There are actually a fair few options available, trouble is..... they get expensive in a big hurry. Pacesetters are popular, as they are some of the least expensive.....

If you go with shorties though, you really aren't going to see much improvement. The Y pipe on the older models is where the most restriction is at. If you don't have emissions testing in your area, you can get an "off road" y-pipe, (no cat) that bolts right in, in place of the existing unit, and see some good gains. (especially if done WITH the shortie headers.) If you have to have a cat, look at the magnaflow direct replacement cat, it comes with the y pipe, and is MUCH better than stock

I got the edelbrock Ti-Coated shorty headers for 300$ on Ebay, installed and sounds and looks great. No problems so far. These just install right in unbolt remove and bolt in
