3.9 5 spd tranny behind 360?

3.9 5 spd tranny behind 360?
Would a 3.9 litre 5 speed transmission stand up to a 360? i kinda doubt that it will but one of my buddies wants to try the swap.. It will bolt up as far as i know, but i can see a lot of burnt clutches resulting from it

need a different bell-housing. 6 and 8 cylinder mounting patterns are different.
If its the NV3500 trans, it will be ok, as long as he doesn't beat on it. Anything less than that, and it will make a nice scrap metal generator.

The 3.9 is a cut down V8, same bell housing...
If it's from a Ram with will be an NV3500, if it's from a 99-older Dakota it will be an AX-15. The NV3500 is up to it, the AX-15 is not. Dakota and Ram trannys also have different shifter locations.

Alright, I kinda figgered it wasnt gunna work, ill pass that on.. thank ya kindly.. and ya, i knew a 3.9 is a 318 with the front two cylinders off, and the ax15 would bot on, but could just see problems after that
