Default Brake Problem

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 360. My problem is sometimes when I hit the Brakes it goes right to the floor and I have no brakes at all and a second later I can hit them and they work fine. I'm thinking a master cylinder but I'm not that knowlegable about brake problems. Also when they do fail and the pedal goes to the floor the ABS and parking brake comes on. I'm stumped! Any ideas what this could be? Also it has gotten worse over the past week or so. I have a superchips scanner but it won't read any DTC's.

When i changed my brake lines i had this problem too. Turned out to be a flared fitting I didn't tighten enough. You may h ave the same issue. Check all your brake lights and any flared fittings make sure they are hand tight then an extra 1/4 to half turn. look for any brake fluid near all lines. If its getting worse keep an eye on brake fluid level in master cylinder and make sure the top of the brake fluid casing is securely shut.
