Yeah, that's a lesson I learned the hard way™. No fun at all. But, they DO work good......

Awesome, got options.
Found a can of seafoam in the garage, they are soaking now, if that doesn't work, I have a brass wheel around here somewhere.

I have used a drill for lapping as well, I wrap the stem with electrical tape before I chuck it.

Just used the drill today to fly cut my pistons:

You can get their bucket of Berrymans ChemDip and let them soak in there and I bet would give you GREAT results...

Yea i second that, that is some potent stuff, i just bought an old john deere 2
cylinder carb and since theres such little wholes in the carbs and i dont have
that small of bits to clean em out my buddy recomended it, well i used it and
let it soak and it came out and looks like it was sandblasted, the paint, grime and everything is gone, its good stuff.

Lifters are less than 20k with no visible wear pattern, so they will be reused. I'm not running stock heads or springs. I'm running the MP 6062 springs with chromemoly retainers and locks.

Cam is a custom grind meant to work with 1.7 roller rockers.
