Upper dash removal help
The cover one goes directly over the top and glues or epoxys to the top of the old dash. I have seen one done before and it doesn't look to bad. The vents looks deep bc of the extra cap. Used car dealerships use the caps all the time.
Are they sturdy, will the last?
I haven't seen one that has been on for a year or two so I cannot say. They are thin ABS plastic like material. Even if you go to the dealer and buy an entire new dash you will have the same cracking issue in a few years. I was going to fiberglass, smooth, and paint but looking into price I could get a cap cheaper.
I think the cap is the route I'm going. I don't wanna rip into my dash and risk breaking other ****.
This dashskin looks like a good product.. what the diff between the 2.5 and 3.5 bezel? Is it preference?
Anyone have experience with the dashskin ones?

Hey guys, sorry, haven't been on here in a while. I did get the new dash, LMC was VERY nice about sending me a new one, no questions asked. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it before the install, I was in too big of a hurry to get this project over with.
I think it's a lot more sturdy than the OEM dash, it's definitely heavier. It fit very well, you can't even tell it's aftermarket. The only thing I didn't like was that the color was way off. I had to use some Mopar interior paint but even then you can still see the difference. Hopefully after a little polishing it will match everything else a little better.
Overall I didn't think this project was that difficult, I definitely made it harder than it needed to be but if I ever have to do it again, it will be a breeze. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it, any questions, just ask.
