Sorry if this topic and question has been covered.
I have a 1996 ram cargo van (B3500) with a strong 318 and tranny. Body is terrible.
I am thinking of purchasing a tired pickup that I could put the engine and possibly the transmission from my van. Are there models of Dakota or 1500 pickups that would make it easier? If so what years? I wouldn't mind getting something newer than '96 if the components and engine mounts would work.
Any info. you could help guide me is very much appreciated.

For the dodge trucks, anything up to 01 would be a pretty direct drop in, as they came with them anyway..... Not sure about the Dakotas.....
