Default Hard to Start

My truck takes a while to start. I crank it and it seems like it is going to start so I pump the gas pedal and no start. I wait a while and still hard to start, I do not pump the gas pedal and then she starts and runs fine. I shut her down and try to start it and same thing, Hard to start. What is going on here?

I tried to start it and it almost seems like the timing is off.

pumping the gas pedal does nothing in a fuel injected engine. people did that for a carb engine because it primed the cylinders.

You check the fuel pressure?

CORRECTO MUNDO! You are correct, I checked the fuel pressure and zero pressure. I turned on the key and did not hear the fuel pump switch on. I checked the fuses and relays and it was the Fuel Pump relay. I replaced it and she runs fine. Thank you very much. I LOVE THIS FORUM!
