Maybe you should quit posting tips...I know guys with over 250 without blown plenums, and guys with 80k that have a blown plenum...It's not a mileage thing....Sheeeeshh.

Read and learn....
Seriously?! Calm down man! You act like I just spit in your cereal. All I was saying was that there's a direct correlation between low mpg's and a blown plenum. If you know people who have a 2nd gen ram that have the original plenum with 250k+, well I'm sure they're the exception because our rams are notorious for Blown belly pans.

Ya I'm not ruling it out but my oil is pretty consistent and it looks like the original owner took really good care of it, the secondary I don't think did anything, I think the plenum might be changed already or not blown, but from the people who bought the sct; if you had the buy it again, would you? Would you recommend it?

I bought and installed my SCT before I installed any of my other mods. I would buy it again. It helped my truck pick up a lot quicker from a red light. $265 (that's what hemi charges for the tuner) is a pretty good bang for the buck. I do, however, recall a DF member that hated his tuner.

If your looking to get better mileage, check to see when the last tune up was done, and if needed, do it. There's more MPG's to be gained there if your in need of a tune up. Also check to see if the O2 sensors have been changed and swap those out if needed. What ever you choose, good luck and have fun!

I would by mine again even it it was $400.

The biggest thing is that it raises overdrive up from about 45 to 55 which can help make your tranny last longer. My truck passes with ease now and its also a code reader so it makes diagnosing easier then driving to the store

Really? I haven't noticed a difference in the speed at which it OD. For me, it always kicks into OD between 45 and 55 depending on if I'm punching it or not.

Well what all is considered a tune up? All I have done is changed the spark plugs and fluids (all of them). But if no one has anything bad to say about it, I'm going to buy one soon!

Well I didnt say anything about the plenum but if its blown your not going to be able to run the SCT because it will ping like crazy. You will know if its blown when you load the tune and take off.

I consider a tune-up to be the plugs/wires/cap/rotor
