Default PCV intake manifold trouble.

long story short. My 97 5.9l has 300,000 miles on it. Im doing the plenum fix on a stock intake. My old intake had a bad leak at the thermostat and rusted badly enough to eat the sensors away. so i picked one up on fleebay for $40 as a replacement...so here is my trouble.
the old intake looks like this....

notice two hose input points. one for my PCV and the other for something that im not sure of.

here is the new intake i got.

only one hose

It also only has one temp sensor while mine had 2. That is an easy fix though since i have a nice tap and die set.

any suggestions?

The intake you bought off Ebay is for a 98-2001 Dodge Ram I believe. I only say that because that is where the difference with the temp sensors began. I've got no clue on the PCV though. Theoretically, you could just use the tap and die and hook the hose for the PCV. I don't think it matters as long as it vents into the intake.

Default Egr?

I remember reading somewhere that the EGR valve was deleted around 1999...is your "extra" vacuum port, on the old plenum, for the EGR solenoid maybe...and the new plenum just has the PCV port?

I wish.

The PCV port is the fatter one. Mine doenst have an EGR valve. I think they fased alot of them out by 96 but there are still some newer ones 97,98,99 that have them.

Bama...I like the idea i guess i didnt think about that. I need to find something thats big enough and hollow to thread through.

Those are transmission cooler fittings that you maybe able to use. Just go to the parts store and get the smalliest ones you can and some hose big enough to fit on there.
