You can go up to 33's with a 3 inch lift...... (at least, on the 4x4 ya can...) If you don't object to retreads.... check out TreadWright..... They have a good rep, even for customer service.....

As for wheels, that's gonna depend on what tires you go with. You want a rim that is going to fit the tire..... (width is what I am worried about here...) You might be able to drop down to a 15" rim, which will save you a bit of money on the tires.... I think.... and also have a MUCH larger selection of rims.

Weight, and rolling resistance are what kills gas mileage, so, going to larger tires IS going to have an affect..... you are going to pick up some weight there, no matter what you do, and the larger tires are also going to have more rolling resistance. To offset that, you should change the rear end gearing to compensate. (4.10s would be good....)

Go with A/T's if your worried about mileage, a 285/75/16 or a 285/70/17 will fill the gap nice and wont rub. Cheap rims are out there just google it, your looking for rims with a 5x5.5 lug pattern and try and get around 4" bs it will keep options open and keep from unnessary wear
