Randy's Ring and Pinion, and a few other vendors carry everything you will need. Is the pinion seal leaking? Is the fluid up to the correct level? Does it have the friction modifier additive in it??

No pinion seal leak, Oil level is correct, & LSD lube in the diff.

I looked at Randy's, just thought there might be the best friend deal on the forum.

Thanks,

NT

Just makin' sure you don't spend money you don't need to.

The traclok diffs were notorious for tossing the clutch retaining clips though, and that could cause them to make some interesting noises. Since your seals aren't leaking, that probably implies that the bearings are good..... what you may want to do is, jack up the rear, drop the driveshaft, and turn things by hand. If there is a bad bearing in there, you can usually feel it. Things should turn nice and smooth.

Thanks for the info. I picked up through a search that the Limited slip unit has problems, but I didn't see anything about the clips. If I need to do the LS unit, I might as well put in new bearings & seals.........

Thanks
