Default V10 Front Crank Seal

Front crank seal on my 99 Ram with V10 is leaking BAD. My question I guess is can I just take the bolt out of the crank pulley and pry the seal out and throw in a new one? Or is it completely not that simple?

I think it is indeed just that simple. At least, that's what the service manual says.

Thank You much kind sir. Now to get the seal ordered, and buy a whole truck load of oil/grease soap and clean. Holy lord it made a mess.

Amazing, init? How so very little oil can make such a big mess...... I think it is a logarithmic scale, the more oil you spill, the higher the multiplier for surface area covered becomes.
