Red face output speed sensor malfunction 96 dodge

I have a 96 dodge ram 2500 5.9L gas, my output speed sensor keeps going out. I have had it in the shop twice and they replaced the sensor each time. The first time they did a full tranny service, the only code it was throwing was the P0720. The tranny was clean so he replaced the sensor, two days later my truck had the same symptoms. Took it back got same code replaced it again. Now two months later, same symptoms. Speedometer jumping, bogs down and jumps gears. Took it to auto parts shop and had code read, and it was again P0720. Bought a new sensor replaced myself yesterday cleared code ran fine. Then today, same symptoms. Any suggestions as to what is causing it to malfunction??? Thank you.

Might be a bad connection there, or, the sensor may be loose in the hole, so it rotates away from the drive gear.....

I replaced the VSS just now and the problem seems to be fixed, I have also ordered an abs sensor and am goimg to replace that as well, as my brake light and ABS lights are mostly always on. So after replacing the OSS 4 times, becuase the code it threw was P0720 and the VSS once we'll see.

Thanks Josh
