Default make a dash?

Ok, I know there are some fabricators here, machinists, welders, someone that can make a dash top to replace the cracked one, but outta aluminum or something?

Obviously a little boxier, but not plastic...... go!!!

There was a thread not so very long ago (a month or so?) about a guy that was trying to make them out of fiberglass.......

Some of the replacements out there in the world are made of better materials, (UV resistant....) and don't have the problems of the originals.

Ya, I'm considering a cap. But I thought an aluminum boxy one would look killer. Even with some aluminum door panels. Just simple clean lines... Idk. Just a thought.

Put a door or two in it to make heater/evap core replacement easier.

Here it is:
http://www.jegs.com/p/Jegster/Jegste...44043/10002/-1

Jegs makes them. Aluminum dashboard kits. You will need tin snips and you just cut the stuff to fit.

They are not strong by any means. They are pretty flimsy. And it will look like crap. Just telling you now.

If you were a pro, you could make something like this:

That is a custom dash. Cost of that would probably be a lot more than buying a replacement. Even more if you want things like vents.

Say goodbye to your AC if you do that. or you will just have AC blowing in one direction.
