Default Timing fixed now running hot

on the freeway. 230* In town 200. Drove it this morning drove fine stayed at 200* on the freeway. Just got back from the Dr. 28 miles one way and it was getting hot on me. Just burped the coolant system again nada. What is this I hear about E- fans flattening out at speed? New everything as far as the coolant system in concerned.

What fans are you running? I see the sig says you have a shroud. What kind?

Pics would be helpful.

I had an issue once with the e fan failing on me due to a crimp connection coming loose. Can you verify they are working?

230* at highway speed seems excessive, are you running the stock T-stat or a 180*? it sounds like blockage if it's higher on the highway, as ram air should be doing the cooling better than any fan. Even the clutch fan freewheels at highway speeds.

Does your truck run better with the sync fixed?

If you've seen my thread where I've been battling intermittent hot running issues (which turned out to be a small head gasket leak) it was recommended I replace the IAT. Even with the head gasket leak that did make a difference.

TCP fan shroud, both fans work, 180 t stat, throttle response is a hellofa lot better. I havent set the timing with a timing gun though.

Can't use a timing light on these trucks.

Out of curiosity, how badly was the fuel sync out?

I was told that the pcm would adjust the timing +/- on our trucks. Idk how bad the fuel sync was out. Think It could be the ect sensor and ect sender?

I just read that my lower radiator hose could be collaping at highway speed due to pressure.
