Almost positive its the starter

Yeah it keeps going and the higher the engine revs the higher the sound. It sounds like a little electric motor or RC car. I took the belt off the engine to verify it wasn't anything on the front of the engine. Sound is still there. Its almost like the starter is hung in the flexplate and spinning with it. But that is impossible without blowing the starter up isn't it?

Yeah the noise continues and it revs with the engine. There was no noise before I put the new starter on. It sounds like a little electric motor or RC car. It is almost like the starter is stuck in the flexplate and running with the engine, but that is impossible without blowing the starter up isn't it?

Take it back and get a new one. It's probably a reman and the bendix is shot, or was not rebuilt right..

Maybe you got my reman, I had a bendix go out about a month ago on my original starter, LOL.

The starter is not disengaging. You need to pull it and take it back.
