Default Hollowing out converter

Is there any harm in hollowin out the converter? I know some newer vehicles make run worse if you do. Would it give more power? I dont have smog test so thats a non issue. Would it help with gas milage? Ive use the serch for the past 2hrs and not found exact answer. I have read about fixing the check engine light. More noise wont matter.

hollowing out your cat gives you more flow, which in turn gives you more power and lets the engine breath easier, which gives you better gas mileage. how much better? dont no... probably not a whole lot, maybe a little. it wont harm your engine, but you may have to do the non fouler trick so your check engine light doesnt come on.

It's worse for the environment. Worse for the truck if you don't straight pipe it, IMO.
