Default Front differntial hose

I have a 1998 Dodge ram 2500 and there is a hose hanginging fron the front diff. It is in the center af the axle and I can't figure out where it goes. at on time it looked like it was leaking brake flid or somethig clear like that but I just had my master cylindr replaced whith a complete flush. I looked at my manual and can't find anything about it. I heard it might just be a drainage line but where does it hook up too? Any ides would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It could be the breather hose, it allows the axle to get air when it rapidly cools down and is usually up in the engine compartment so you'll actually suck air and hopefully not water

That's just the vent/overflow hose as stated. Don't worry about it.
