Welcome aboard dodgehemi426! You might want to browse Sub-Forums: Dodge Ram for stuff related to your ride.
I asked the same question but for a 2001 Ram. The Hemi's won't bolt up to the 01 tranny and don't forget the electrical mess you'll be in.
I wanted to put in a Hemi for the power upgrade but will just rebuild the 360. I've been told you can get around 390HP from the 360 block, but don't know if that's true.

You can get as much HP out of that 360 as you want and more. One thing to remember is..Horsepower = Dollars ...the more hp you want the more money it costs, and the less mpg you get , unless you go turbo and (or) EFI..360s aren't that bad when it comes to HP Cost as long as you stay under 350 hp..Once you reach 350 hp , Then you might as well figure about $50.00 Per Horse after that.
I really was wanting to add about 100 horse or so. I think the stock 360's are around 260HP or is it 230HP? I don't keep a lead foot but too tow a bit.
I was looking through ebay a minute ago and found a 05 Hemi motor from a wreck, still in good condition for $200.
