need help with tranny issues

Default need help with tranny issues

i have a 98 dodge ram 1500 4x4,ive put 2 trannys in this thing,its now finished again,my question is will the 3.9l magnum,5spd tranny fit my 98 ram 5.2l,what do i need to change if it will fit, please help!!!!!!!

The 5spd will fit. But, what problem are you having with the auto? Might be something simple.

the auto is finished,wont shift to second,overdrives gone,it just beyond repair

How do you know it's not just the Governor solenoid and switch(transducer)? And or the TCC solenoid unit.

theres peices of loose parts inside the pan and my bellhousing is cracked from the front to the pan

yeah, that's a pretty good sign its finished.

if you MIGHT be hard on transmissions then I doubt the 3.9 manual is going to hold up either

I agree with that as well. Since he's asking about getting a 3rd tranny. How long did you have the last one in before it went to hell?
