Default Oil leak

Noticed an oil leak the other day when i was under my truck and noticed actual drips on the gravel driveway today. So i crawled under again to pin point the location. Looks to be coming from an area between the crank pully and the engine block. What could be leaking there? Going to need to be fixed soon as its a pretty good leak.(like a drop an hour...)

Timing chain cover or oil pan gasket probably. They meet right there.

Front crank seal as well. Spray it all down good with some brake cleaner, and then drive it for a couple days, leak should be easier to find then.

When you do the timing chain and gears, the seal is in the timing chain cover. It will come with the gasket set.

Yes, it's in the cover. Get a Haynes if you don't have one and read the whole procedure, it will help, trust me.

Replace the oil pan gasket while you're at it. Don't get the soft one that's like gum. There's a good, stiff rubber gasket (FelPro #OS34408R[?]) that has a reinforcement piece along the bolt holes rather than ringlets. There's no chance of it pinching or tucking at installation. My aggravating oil leak that I long blamed on the rear main was actually due to my having installed that softer pan gasket.

I try to go by "if it aint broke dont fix it", but if you do choose to do that too, might as well do the rear seal also. Here is a good how to, http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech-article-31.html
